Description and Requirements

The Communications Specialist supports and executes marketing communication programs through online communities, Print Media, ATL, and BTL, for both internal and external audiences.The Communications Specialist supports and executes marketing communication programs through online communities for both internal and external audiences, in support of corporate vision and brand building.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Developing strategies to increase engagement and interaction in the different online communities, both internal and external (These may include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,, T. Life (internal social media) and any current social media channel, as well as in different blog platforms such as Tumblr, Wordpress, BlogSpot and any other current blogging platform. Communication strategies should also be applied to the corporate website and intranet.

  • Writing and preparing daily content for the different online communication channels of the company. Getting to know the communities on each platform and being the face of the company by following the Marketing & Communication global strategies, the TELUS values and the recruiting plan at date.

  • Participate in management and moderate all online communities to facilitate constructive interaction and member success on the online platforms where TELUS International Guatemala has presence.

  • Social media marketing - creating, managing and growing the company's presence through blogs, social media and other strategically relevant online platforms.

  • Work with internal resources to ensure steady flow of engaging, useful and accurate content for online community and website and online platforms.

  • Research - being able to research online and offline to find insights and behaviors to propose new approaches towards our target.

  • Developing the reporting and analysis – for online experience with online monitoring and listening tools. Ability to measure, analyze and report on qualitative and quantitative community usage.

  • Propose and develop monthly recreational activities to drive engagement of our team members in all locations in Guatemala, and promote them in our online channels to increase interaction and interest of our target to join our company.

  • Provide and coordinate support to users of the internal and external online communities platforms.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Studies and Experience
  • Advanced university studies in journalism, communications, marketing or related field-Mandatory

  • Experience with social tools (blogs, discussions, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc)-Desirable

Completed online Courses of IAspire Essentials - Mandatory

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Advanced.

  • English - B2
