Description and Requirements
Role and responsibilities:
As a quality assurance analyst/tester the candidate must be able to support all testng activities during the different stages of the SDLC. Mainly will be focused on manual testing but test automation skills will be useful in the future. Should be capable of understanding requirements and designing test suites that will cover all possible scenarios. Is expected to have broad knowledge of software testing methodologies and concepts.
Responsibilities include:
Review, analyze and understand system and business requirements
Design, creation and execution of test cases for each stage of the testing life cycle.
Reporting and documenting defects
Help troubleshoot issues
Support release night testing
Maintain testing progress report.
Active participation in all scrum ceremonies
Experience and Knowledge
Strong knowledge of software QA/testing methodologies, tools, and processes is required for this position.
Key Concepts
Basic knowledge of networking concepts (IPs, subnet size, routers, network diagrams)
Basic knowledge of database concepts (queries, how databases work)
Testing Life Cycle (for both manual and automated)
Familiarity with Test Driven Development
Knowledge of automation testing frameworks such as Data Driven Testing, Keyword Driven, etc.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery life cycle
Rest and Soap Services
Types of tests
Processes
Test cases creation and execution
Defects life cycle management
Tools
Strong knowledge and experience using SOAPUI
Jira for test cases and defects creation
Version control tools as GIT
Test Automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Testcomplete, Jest, Puppeteer, LoadRunner)
CI/CD tools (Jenkins, docker)
Familiarity with Windows operating systems
Familiarity with SQL and Oracle databases
Methodologies
Strong knowledge of agile methodologies as Scrum
Testing methodologies
How to perform tests depending on the type of application
Skills and Abilities:
Hands-on QA/testing experience
Strong analytical, problem-finding and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
Ability to work independently, and flexibility to multi-task and adapt to changing business needs.
Enthusiastic and proactive team player who is delivery-oriented, takes responsibility for the team’s success, and strives to continually learn and improve
Advanced English communication skills
Used to work under pressure and focused on delivering results
Experience creating documentation
